Adulai Jaló, a forward from Guinea-Bissau who previously played for Sports Benfica de Bissau in his home country, has arrived in Rwanda to sign a two-year contract with Rayon Sports.
The striker landed at Kigali
International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Adulai
Jaló played for Sports Benfica de Bissau, where he recently helped the team
clinch the national championship title and emerged as the top scorer last
season.
He netted 19 goals during the
season—16 in the league and three in the national cup. His outstanding
performance earned him accolades from the Guinea-Bissau Sports Journalists
Association just last week.
Upon his arrival in Kigali, Jaló
expressed his ambition to help Rayon Sports achieve their goal of winning the
league title while also working toward his personal objectives, including becoming
the league's top scorer.
According to reports, Rayon Sports
is set to finalize a two-year deal with the striker. This comes after the club
finished the first half of the league season at the top of the table with 36
points, five points ahead of second-placed APR FC.
