Ugandan forward Charles Bbaale has revealed the reasons behind his request to terminate his contract with Rayon Sports. According to him, he currently feels he has nothing to contribute to the team in this season due to an injury he sustained.
On Friday, news broke that the player had
written to Rayon Sports, a club he joined in the summer of 2023, requesting to
part ways with them. Speaking to InyaRwanda, Bbaale explained that his decision
was influenced by his inability to assist the team this season due to his
injury issues.
He stated: “The reason I wrote to Rayon
Sports requesting to part ways with them is because I have nothing to offer the
team this season due to the injury I am dealing with.”
Bbaale mentioned that his injury will take
about two months to heal. He also clarified that no other team has expressed
interest in signing him because of his current condition.
The forward emphasized that he still has a
contract with Rayon Sports, which will expire at the end of the season, and
assured that there are no other issues between him and the club.
He added: “I still have a contract with Rayon
Sports that will end with this season. I have no problems with Rayon Sports. I
only made this decision to benefit the club.”
Bbaale expressed his affection for Rayon
Sports fans and wished them all the best.
This season, Charles Bbaale played a few
matches at the beginning of the league before losing his starting spot to Fall
Ngagne. Despite his limited appearances, he remains a beloved figure among the
supporters.
