Gentil Misigaro Arrives in Kigali for Historic ‘Joyous Celebration Live in Kigali’ Concert

Speaking upon his arrival at Kigali International Airport on the morning of December 24, 2024, Gentil expressed his excitement about being back in Rwanda, describing Kigali’s unique atmosphere. “The air here feels blessed,” he remarked. “I was telling people on the flight that when you arrive at Kanombe, you feel the difference compared to other places.”

Gentil is thrilled to be part of the Joyous Celebration concert, headlined by the South African gospel powerhouse. He emphasized the spiritual preparation that has gone into the event. “We’ve been praying for this concert,” he said. “I was longing to worship again with Rwandans.”

The artist also reflected on welcoming fellow Rwandan musicians Meddy and Alpha Rwirangira into gospel music. “When new soldiers join the battlefield, you rejoice,” he said. Sharing about recent ministry with Meddy, Gentil revealed, “In events we had two weeks ago, over 100 people gave their lives to Christ because of Meddy’s testimony. This is what we strive for as worshippers.”

Gentil encouraged everyone to attend the concert, promising an unforgettable experience. “December 29 will be extraordinary,” he said. “Come ready for a transformative encounter. Whether saved or unsaved, all are welcome.”

The Joyous Celebration Live in Kigali concert, organized by Sion Communications and Zaburi Nshya Events, is set to be a historic moment in Rwanda’s gospel music scene. The South African choir Joyous Celebration will share the stage with Gentil Misigaro and Alarm Ministries.
