After performing in Dubai, Kenny Sol teased his first 'EP'

Rusanganwa Norbert popularly known as Kenny Sol is about to release his first EP [Extended Play] more than four years after he started his solo musical career.

Kenny Sol, after performing in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, is going to release his first [EP] called "Stronger Than Before", which is the artist's first work after more than four years since he parted ways with the group Yemba Voice.

In an interview with InyaRwanda, the artist said that the EP explains a lot about his artistic career and that he chose the name "Stronger Than Before" to comfort people and not give up on what they go through in their daily lives.

He said, "Stronger than before is a name that was chosen to comfort people so that they don't give up and to raise their confidence, and it also means a lot about my career because of what I want to achieve or give to my fans because I don't want to disappoint them."

Kenny Sol is one of the three artists who were part of the Yemba Voice music group that will disband in December 2018 each embarking on a personal journey. After leaving the group, Kenny Sol made a strong career working with various artists, including Bruce Melodie, who later disbanded without releasing a single EP, or an Album.

When asked why he chose this year 2023 to release his EP, he said that he did not choose it specifically but that he has a lot in store for his fans. "Yes, this is my first EP, but it is not the last because I have a lot of projects to give to my fans, so I didn't go and choose a year, it's just because I have a lot in store for my fans worldwide."

The artist also admitted that he plans to release a new song on Friday, June 02, which is the key to the Ep "Stronger Than Before" consisting of 7 songs that he will release on June 30, 2023.

Sol after leading a solo career, is one of the artists who showed the desire to spread Rwandan music, he started filming his songs in different countries including Tanzania where he recorded 'Quality' featuring 'Double Jay' from Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo where he filmed 'Say my name' and elsewhere.

On the possibility that this Ep will contain videos that he filmed in different countries, he admitted that there are some that he has taken in different countries and that people should anticipate the Ep because of the refined content it contains. He said, "Of course, there are videos of different places that will be announced soon."

Kenny went on to explain that this Ep has been in preparation for five months, it means a lot about personal life and not only for him but also for all people who are willing to do something and not give up. He said, "It defines life in general and not only for me but for every person who is willing to do something, not planning to look back and give up."

There are photos that InyaRwanda received of Kenny Sol in Tanzania with some of Harmonize's colleagues and it is said that they have a project that may be on this new EP that is being prepared for release. On this subject, Kenny Sol said that he met Harmonize when he was in Rwanda but refrained from confirming or denying that they had worked on the song.

"That's not what it means because Harmonize when he was here last time and we were able to see each other, and revealing people who are on the EP is among plans for the near future" He added

Kenny Sol recently performed during Basketball African League Half-Time held in Kigali during the end of May 


Friday, 02 June 2023, Kenny Sol is set to release an Intro song to an anticipated Ep titled "Stronger Than Before"
