Primus Guma Guma, a competition that started in 2010 is now one of the remarkable competitions held in Rwanda, and it has changed a lot in the Rwandan music industry ever since it started, now it is becoming every Rwandan singer artist's dream.

It is a medium of advertisement for artists: through road shows, artists get the opportunity to sing for their fans and to be more famous for those who were not known yet, it is highly probable to be famous with a cloud of people attending those shows.

Indeed, they also get a chance to address themselves to media, and showcase their innovations.

It is an opportunity for them to perform live music: it was not an easy thing for a local artist to prepare a live concert before Guma Guma started. Many had no means and skills were also a big issue for some, but now Every Guma Guma contestant is required to perform live and the are offered a band to help them.

Moreover, the three main finalists this year were offered full band equipment instead of handing them cash equivalent to it.

It provides to them Team work spirit: while preparing road shows, these artists get a chance to know each other, to live in the same hotels to prepare shows in the same environment, and so connections among them become strong to be helping each other even after Guma Guma.

They get the chance to do community works: among the activities scheduled by the  organizers of the competition are community works organized in various districts and so these superstars get their hands dirty a little bit.

Bralirwa signs big checks for them: From Jay polly to Tom close, they can all be witness of how rich one gets after winning Guma guma, this is a competition that has the highest check for its winner  In Rwanda, and almost every Rwandan singer artist wish nowadays is to reach higher and win Guma Guma.

Not only its winner but every artist among the top ten gets a million Rwandan francs monthly during the competition, and an award at the end of the competition accompanied by a considerable sum accordingly.
