It's no longer clandestine that Bralirwa is bringing the Nigerian Wizkid - whose Drake's "One Dance" he features became The Billboard Hot 100 'Number 1' Chart for 10 weeks - to perform in its annual concert Beer Fest in Kigali.
Wizkid was the bid for the Rwandan actress and event organizer Denise Gakire.
Following the news that Bralirwa is bringing Wizkid, Inyarwanda’s reporter who had another version of the story that Denise Gakire whose Royal entertainment Ltd, the event management company was in talks with Wizkid, approached her.
Denise told the reporter that she was in talks with Wizkid and signed a pre-contract agreement but she did not know how things twisted around. Denise says that Wizkid’s management started talks and sealed the deal with Bralirwa, her, unbeknownst.
Denise explains that, ”I really began talks with Wizkid. After signing a pre-contract agreement, things began to turn awry and for me, I was not judgmental, as I was aware that many people here in Rwanda are after him until Bralirwa steps in to close the deal with him.”

The Rwandan actress stepped into event management business through her Royal Entertainment Ltd. Wizkid was her second Nigerian star she brings to the local audience after Kiss Daniel who performed in Kigali months ago.
Denise says that she’s not blaming Wizkid for turning back on her, as he is a human who must follow the big sum as usual. She also adds that she is not blaming Bralirwa too, as the company aims at promoting Rwandan music and entertains Rwanda at large; which she shares. She added that, if Wizkid she was eyeing is gone; she has to look for another celebrity she can bid.
Wizkid is anticipated to perform in the annual Bralirwa’s event “BEER FEST” which is taking place on August 27. Past performers in the event include South Africa’s Mafikizolo last year.
