Hakizimana Muhadjir has once again asserted that he is the best football player in Rwanda, even ahead of Muhire Kevin. However, he admits that what he lacks is speed, which would have made him a world-class player.
Known for repeatedly claiming that no player in Rwanda surpasses him in
skill, Hakizimana Muhadjir reiterated this statement in an exclusive interview
with InyaRwanda TV. He acknowledged that while he possesses great footballing
knowledge, a small missing factor speed has kept him from reaching top-tier
clubs in England.
During his conversation with InyaRwanda, Muhadjir emphasized his belief
that he is Rwanda’s best player. When asked whether he considers himself as
talented as Muhire Kevin, the captain of Rayon Sports, he responded by
acknowledging Kevin’s abilities but insisted that no player in Rwanda matches
his skill and on-field intelligence.
Speaking about Muhire Kevin, Muhadjir said, "Kevin and I have
different strengths. He is a great player, but I don’t see him as a natural
number 10 because in the past, he played as a number 8. He is a skilled player,
difficult to dispossess, and a leader."
When InyaRwanda asked him to compare himself to Muhire Kevin, Muhadjir
confidently stated, "The football I play is not ordinary, and I’m not
bragging it’s just the truth. Sometimes I sit and think, if God had only given
me more speed and left me with the football knowledge I have, I would have
found myself playing for clubs like Manchester United."
He concluded by saying, "God doesn’t give you everything, but with
what He gave me, when I look around, I don’t see any player in Rwanda better
than me."
