On Sunday, January 26, 2025, Rayon Sports took another significant step in strengthening its bond with fans by officially launching a new fan club named Rayon Sports Special Fan Club, located in Kicukiro District.
The official inauguration of the Fan
Club was graced by the team’s top officials, including the President,
Twagirayezu Thaddée, the Head of the Supreme Council, Paul Muvunyi, and the
Coordinator of Rayon Sports Fan Clubs, Dr. Norbert Uwiragiye.
Hadji Mohamed Kanyabugabo, who was
appointed as the interim leader of the new Fan Club, highlighted that he and
his team founded the club to support Rayon Sports in all possible ways. He
stated:
"Our goal is to assist Rayon Sports management both financially and
with ideas. When fan groups increase, the team’s resources also grow, which
helps achieve its objectives."
The club’s management emphasized
that increasing the number of Fan Clubs is a vital strategy to unite supporters
and boost the team’s capabilities. Currently, there are 48 Fan Clubs, and the
new leadership aims to increase this number to at least 80.
In addition to launching the new Fan
Club, Rayon Sports officials visited two existing ones: Isaro Fan Club
in Muhanga District and Ishema ry’Umu-Rayon. These clubs were encouraged
to continue increasing their contributions to help the team secure the
2024-2025 championship title.
Rayon Sports remains committed to
engaging its supporters, with financial contributions and ideas from fans being
the cornerstone of the team’s success.
