Cameroonian winger Assana Nah Innocent has arrived in Rwanda, poised to sign with Rayon Sports FC.
The player landed at Kigali International Airport on the evening of Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was welcomed by Rayon Sports fan club president Claude Muhawenimana.
Assana Nah, who previously played for Coton
Sport FC de Garoua, was also greeted by Aziz Bassané, a fellow Cameroonian who
has settled well at Rayon Sports. Both players developed their football careers
in the same academy back in Cameroon.
While with Coton Sport FC, Assana Nah
competed in CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup matches. He leaves
the club in sixth place in the Cameroonian league standings, eight matchdays
into the season.
In addition to Coton Sport, Assana Nah has
played for Morocco's Moghreb Tétouan and Cameroon's Colombe Sport FC.
He joins a Rayon Sports squad that has recently
added two new forwards: Raymond Lolendi Ntaudyimara from Tanzania and Ntamba
Musikwabo Malick from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Rayon Sports FC is actively strengthening its squad as it aims to maintain its lead in the Rwandan Premier League and achieve success in domestic tournaments like the Peace Cup and the Heroes cup.
