Ruboneka Jean Bosco's last-minute heroic goal helped APR FC secure a 2-1 victory over Marines FC in a Matchday 14 clash of the Rwandan Premier League. The game took place on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu District.
APR FC started the match as the dominant
side, showcasing precise ball movement but struggling to convert their chances
into goals. The first real opportunity came in the 13th minute when Tuyisenge
Arsene delivered a perfect pass to Dushimimana Olivier ‘Muzungu,’ but his shot
narrowly missed the target.
Marines FC responded with a dangerous attack
led by Suley Sanda, whose cross found Mbonyumwami Taiba. Taiba attempted a
stylish backheel, but APR FC defenders intervened, clearing the ball for a

Controversy arose when Ndombe appeared to be

After equalizing, APR FC pushed forward
relentlessly in search of a winning goal. Tuyisenge Arsene and his teammates
created several chances but failed to find the back of the net.
With mere seconds left on the clock, Ruboneka
Jean Bosco became the hero of the match. He struck a long-range effort that
Marine FC's goalkeeper attempted to parry but failed, sealing a 2-1 victory for
APR FC.
The victory ensured that APR FC earned all
three points and maintained their second-place position in the league
standings, trailing leaders Rayon Sports by five points. The team will now
