The highly anticipated Tour du Rwanda 2025 is set to deliver not just thrilling cycling action but also vibrant concerts featuring some of Rwanda’s top artists. These shows, organized by KIKAC Music in collaboration with FERWACY, aim to entertain residents where the cycling stages end.
This marks the third time
such concerts will accompany the race. In 2023, popular artists such as Mico
The Best, Bwiza, Platini, and Chris Eazy entertained fans. “We are inviting
cycling enthusiasts to help us choose the cities where the concerts will be
held,” said Claude Uhujimfura, head of KIKAC Music.
Speaking about the
upcoming race, Freddy Kamuzinzi, head of Tour du Rwanda, revealed
its significance. “Tour du Rwanda 2025 will be special as it coincides with the
World Cycling Championships, hosted in Africa for the first time,” he stated.
“It’s a chance to showcase our readiness for this global event and highlight
Rwanda’s capacity on the world stage.”
The 17th edition of Tour
du Rwanda will span 812 kilometers across eight stages, starting February 23
and ending March 2, 2025. Key stages include the longest route from Rukomo in
Gicumbi to Kayonza, covering 158 kilometers.
Confirmed participants
include top professional teams like Israel-Premier Tech and TotalEnergies,
alongside continental teams such as Rwanda’s Team Amani and Bike Aid from
Germany. National teams from Rwanda, Eritrea, and South Africa will also
compete.
Cycling fans can look
forward to both world-class competition and electrifying entertainment as Tour
du Rwanda blends sports and culture in a celebration of talent and resilience.
