Renowned artist Alpha Rwirangira has made a significant shift in his music career by releasing a new gospel single titled "I’m Free." This change comes as Rwirangira steps away from secular music to dedicate himself entirely to worship and praise. The song, produced by Yanick with visuals by Kavoma, marks a new chapter for the artist.
In an exclusive interview
with InyaRwanda, Rwirangira revealed his decision to embrace gospel music. He
explained, "Now that Christ is in me, I realize my calling is to speak and
sing about Christ." This shift in focus mirrors the path taken by Meddy,
who also transitioned to gospel music following his wedding.
Rwirangira, who is
currently based in Canada, has been preparing for a series of concerts titled
"Amashimwe Concert." These events are set to take place in Edmonton
on October 13 and Ottawa on November 23, 2024. This marks a new beginning for
Rwirangira as he fully commits to his faith and musical ministry.
Despite the hiatus from
new music releases, Alpha Rwirangira's return with "I’m Free" signals
a promising new direction in his career. His commitment to gospel music
reflects a broader trend among Rwandan artists exploring spiritual themes in
their work.
