Entrepreneur and Commercial Model, Qrista Iradukunda was among the winner of Miss Rwanda 2022 in the zone of Kigali City she did mentioned the lessons from this pageant and what fashion industry mean to her.
Young fashion model and entrepreneur finished her highschool
in Uganda and took aviation course currently working with Rwanda Air, through
her Qrista Collection, she is taking over the fashion industry and very soon, will
launch her lipgloss line called Kunda.
In the interview with inyaRwanda Qrista mentioned what she
got from involving in Miss Rwanda in her words.
“Being among the girls who attended Miss Rwanda helped me
build up my confidence, I can easily submit my opinions and thoughts without
fear in the public plus it helped me build my brand easily, and honestly that’s
all I wanted from that beauty pageant, I am forever grateful to God that gave
me courage to submit my application.” She said
On her being in fashion business for about two years she
says “Specifically when it comes to business, I have learnt that you need to be
intentional, know what you want and work hard for it it’s not an easy journey
mostly when you are starting but am so happy that people have understood what
fashion is and they are so supportive.”
Qrista Iradukunda is very grateful that she has born in
country that understand value of a woman she said this in this way “I am so
blessed to be born in such a country with civilized and open minded people
mostly the women in the fashion and beauty industry, this really smoothened my work,
I didn’t really have to go through a lot because I was understood.”
Her daily schedule in working days “Usually I wake up at
6am that’s if I don’t have a very early work to do or to go for, say a prayer,
sit down review my business, brainstorm new business ideas that have to be
noted down, plan content for brands I have to shoot for, then once in a while i
go to the gym in the evening.” She said
In weekend her daiy schedule does change much “Weekends,
if I have not gone to work, that’s when I carryout all my shoots, carryout
general cleaning, then we wait for Monday, I am not an outing person just
incase you wondering, I love my space, so I love being home.” She said
Many companies approach her through social media that are
growing very fast where she has thousands of people following her especially on
her Instagram of over 100 thousands followers till now.
Her plan for college Qrista says “Honestly right now I
have a lot of businesses going on and that’s what am focusing on, but I promise
to go back to school because I also want to, I have to make my Dad proud
because that’s one thing he wants from me.”
At the end she has left words for other woman “My advise
to the young ladies mostly, is know what you want, you gonna face challenges
but don’t give up, pray hard to God because with him everything is possible”
She said
