Vince Mashami was hired, after completing his one-year contract with Amavubi, as head coach of Rwanda's national soccer team for three months.
Rwanda’s
federation of football announced that Vince Mashami finished his coaching deal
with Amavubi on 30th July 2019. His deal was never renewed but rather he was
given a temporary work in the team until new coach is appointed.
During three
months, Vincent is going to facilitated Amavubi to tussle Seychelles in a bid
to get qualification for world cup 2022. Rwanda's opening match against
Seychelles is slated to be played on 2nd September whereas payoff match is due
on 10th September 2019 at Kigali national stadium.
He has also to
help Rwanda outperform for African cup of nations championship 2020 taking
place in Cameroon. Amavubi is expected to battle against Ethiopia on 20
September 2019 and payback match will be played at Kigali stadium on 18th
October.
Rwanda is
classified with Cameroun, Cape Verde and Mozambique in group F
It is alleged that Vincent will hardly continue with training Amavubi as long as he fails to facilitate the team to outshine in those championships.
