Rayon Sports Fc Sees off Marines Fc in Peace Cup 2019

Rayon Sports Fc saw off Marines Fc in the Peace Cup championship 2019, beating 2-1goals, which were added to 1-0 goal that Rayon Sports netted against Marines during the match held at Rubavu turf, Rayon Sports have a total sum of 3-1 goals now.

Gisa Irambona won the first goal for Rayon Sports Fc on the 77th minute of the match, paying off a stunning goal netted, on the 27th minute of the match, by Ramadhan Dusingizemungu of Marines Fc. The second goal of Rayon Sports was won by Thierry Manzi on the 87th minute of the match.

Rayon Sports entered ¼ of the final as they have already qualified to face off with Gicumbi Fc. Payoff match is expected to be played on 23rd June2019 at the Gicumbi playground.


Ramadhan Dusingizemungu won the first goal against Marines Fc on the 27th minute of the match

In the match played at the turf of Kicukiro, Marines Fc showed that they wanted to reach a quarter final, netting the first goal in the match on the 27th minute. Rayon Sports used players like the midfielder, Francois Mugisha Master, Kakule Mugheni Fabrice and Christophe Bukuru. Francois Mugisha lost determination in the field for this time. Fiston Ishimwe profited the gap and gave a perfect pass occasioning the goal.   

Francois Mugisha was substituted, in the second half of the match, by Suleiman Mudeyi. After the substitution, Rayon Sports had enough strikers in the field but reduced midfielders.

The tactic helped rayon Sports Fc to dominated the match against Marines Fc, later Christophe Bukuru, who looked tired, was replaced by the left winger, Eric Rutanga who played on the center wing position.

As Rutanga entered the field, to fill the gap in the backwards, Eric Irambona got chance to go up in the pitch and kicked a shot from the corner that generated a goal entered by Thierry Manzi on the 87th minute of the match. Marines Fc made changes in the field since midfielder, Irshad Nsengiyumva played on the defensive line, helping three backward players.

Other matches played over the weekend, on 16th June 2019, APR Fc dropped out after 0-0 draw with As Kigali, since As Kigali scored 1-0 in the first match.   

In the matches of a quarter final, expected to take place from 19-20 June 2019, Rayon Sports is expected to face off with Gicumbi Fc, Police Fc with Etincelles Fc, As Kigali with Gasogi Fc and Kiyovu Sports with Intare Fc. Payoff matches are scheduled from 22-23 June 2019, meanwhile, teams who will clash in  a half final will be known.
