The first leg of the Peace Cup quarterfinals saw thrilling encounters on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Rayon Sports was held to a 2-2 draw by Gorilla FC, while Police FC and Amagaju secured crucial victories against AS Kigali and Mukura VS, respectively.
Rayon Sports hosted Gorilla FC in a highly
competitive match at Kigali Pele Stadium. The game started with Gorilla FC
taking an early lead in the first minute through Ndikumana Landry. Despite an
attacking response from Rayon Sports, Gorilla doubled their lead in the 39th
minute with a stunning free kick from Nsanzimfura Keddy.
Rayon Sports came back stronger in the second half,
with Biramahire Abeddy scoring twice in the 50th and 57th minutes to level the
score. The match ended 2-2, setting up an exciting second leg to determine who
advances to the semifinals. The winner will face the victor between Mukura and
Amagaju.

victory over AS Kigali in a thrilling match. AS Kigali took the lead in the 9th
minute when Police FC goalkeeper Niyongora Patience scored an own goal under
pressure from Emmanuel Okwi Arnold. Police FC responded in the 19th minute with
a powerful strike from Bigirimana Abedi, leveling the score before halftime.
In the second half, both teams pushed for a winner,
but it was Police FC’s Ani Elijah who sealed the victory in the 75th minute
after a brilliant combination with Mugisha Didier. The win gives Police FC an
advantage going into the return leg.
Police FC get Victory of 2-1 over AS Kigali
In a match played at Huye International Stadium,
Amagaju FC secured a crucial 2-0 win over Mukura VS. The goals came from Dusabe
Jean Claude, popularly known as Nyakagezi, and Masudi Narcisse, giving Amagaju
a strong advantage before the second leg.
