German Health Minister tested positive as Europe likely to face new covid-19 cases

German Health Minister Jens Spahn tested positive as Europe likely to face huge remarkable new cases, of Covid-19 tilting hopes that the continent is likely to be free of the virus by the end of this year.

Recently via Twitter, Deutsche Welle politics announced that German Health Minister tested positive for Covid-19 after he, himself announced a news referring to his case.


 

Through his Twitter handle, the Minister said he is in a domestic isolation: “Thank you for the many good wishes. I am in domestic isolation and am currently only recovering from cold symptoms. I wish everyone I have been in contact with to stay in good health. Let’s continue to take care of each other.”


DW Politics has announced also that Germany is recording the highest number of new Covid-19 infections the German health institute has had to report during this pandemic. That was more than 11000 new cases in one day, yesterday.

 

In the meantime, France is extending overnight curfew as over last 24 hours recorded 162 more deaths.

Ireland is taking “the highest level of Covid restrictions there.” The whole country is ordered to stay home for six weeks.


The Czech Republic is having a second lockdown as they are facing a big surge in cases. Slovakia is closing schools again and Greece is having a new night curfew.

 

In Germany, The Health Minister Jens Spahn infected and the country is restricting its relation cross border with UK as it is among high risk countries in Covid new cases. Visitors from there must quarantine.

 

Many different other European countries also are taking different tough measure in a bid to slow Covid-19’ spread as people continue to get infected. Belgium’s Foreign Minister Sophie Wilmes tested positive too last week and has been admitted to intensive care.
