AEL Limassol, a top-tier football club in Cyprus has extended its best wishes for a quick recovery to their player, Emmanuel Imanishimwe Mangwende, who recently underwent knee surgery due to an injury.
The club shared their message of
support on their social media platforms on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, wishing a
swift return to action for the Rwandan national team player known for his
contributions to the Amavubi.
Imanishimwe has been sidelined since
suffering a knee injury that required surgical intervention. His last
appearance on the pitch was during AEL Limassol’s 1-1 draw against ALS Omonia
on December 14, 2024.
Reports suggest that Imanishimwe may
return to action in March 2025, a critical period as Rwanda’s Amavubi national
team is scheduled to face Nigeria in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match.
Currently, AEL Limassol holds the 9th position in the league standings with 20 points.
