Speaking to InyaRwanda, Popular comedian Alex Muhangi shared insights into his plans to form a lasting partnership with rising comedian Fally Merci.
Muhangi, one of the top
comedians in the Great Lakes region, revealed that he’s been studying trends in
Rwanda, promising audiences a performance filled with fresh jokes inspired by
local artists and popular social media personalities.
Regarding Fally Merci,
Muhangi said, “I see him as a younger brother. It’s always great to see new
comedians emerge." He added that part of his visit was to explore
collaborations between Gen Z comedians and Uganda’s Comedy Store.
Muhangi also encouraged
Merci, telling him that the path to success is challenging but rewarding.
"When I started Comedy Store, people doubted it. I see myself in him, a
young talent building his own brand," Muhangi said, urging him to stay
focused and persevere.
