7 Ladies Hoist Rwanda’s Flag Higher

7 Rwandan females have participated in Miss Career Africa 2020 contest representing East African community.

In the contest happening online, 15 females have partaken to qualify for next batch made of 10 contestants who will go to boot camp of Miss Career Africa competition due in Kigali-Rwanda.

Judging panel on 12th September chose 15 females who got through pre-selection done in East Africa. Within dozens of ladies who attended the voting, merely fifteen hit pass mark to proceed to the next round.    

Selection was done focusing on nature of projects presented by contestants and how they will contribute to development of the participant’s country or region. It also takes into account the benefits it has for the society and how the contestant will use loan that she expects to be given.  

Jury considered as well solutions that the projects will bring to the community, regarding pressing issues adversely affecting people, ability, creativity, uniqueness of the project and critical thinking of the contender.

In fifteen females standing for East African community, there are 3 from Kenya, 2 from Burundi, 1 from Tanzania and 2 from Uganda. All the contenders will participate in online voting, which is expected to be taking place within a month. Meanwhile, 10 best performers will head to the boot camp scheduled in November 2020.   

‘’ Now, the world knows that you have been chosen for the next batch of Miss Career Africa 2020 competition, you presented well your projects and convinced judging panel. So, it is high time you informed friends and relatives that you have proceeded to another around so that they can support you by voting online,’’ Jurists told the selectees, adding that they should feel confident in their winning potential and work harder.  

There are 23 contenders across the continent of Africa, who include 10 from West Africa, 10 from South Africa, 3 from the North but Central Africa has yet to obtain representatives so far.
