Makeda Reveals How Gifted Rwandans Stole her Heart

Makeda Mahadeo, best known on stage as Dj Makeda, currently works for CNBC Africa. She happened to worked for Contact FM/TV based in Rwanda. 

She said she was fascinated by talented Rwandans partaking in Got Talent show taking place in Nairobi.

East Africa Got Talent show is happening for the first time and aims to detect and promote various categories of talents focusing on East Africa.

She is among four panelists voting best performers in East Africa's Got Talent show. 

Speaking to INYARWANDA Makeda expressed her gratitude for having been chosen to become a judge on a popular Tv show along with Tanzanian Vanessa Mdee, Kenyan Jeff Koinage and Ugandan, Kagwa.

'' I was excited! I am grateful for the show proceeding so far. It surprised me and I feel proud of that I was picked to be part of judging panel. I am so honored to represent Rwanda,'' she said.

Makeda( Second from left side) was ecstatic with Rwandan performer during East Africa's Got Talent show taking place in Kenya. 

She added that she was surprised by unprecedented talents Rwandans have shown. '' I live in Rwanda but I barely knew that we have such amazing talented people,'' she added.

For the time being, Makeda is exchanging ideas with her fellow judging jury, learning from one another’s experience. She went on to say she is getting motivated by new talented people influencing her to maintain her commitment spirit.

She was born in United States of America and grew up in Jamaica where she lived with her mother and father who has bloodline in Rwanda.
