Jules Ulimwengu of Rayon scored a single goal, on 4th minute of the match, that helped the Rwanda’s Gikundiro clinch a victory over Congolese, TP Mazembe, in group A CECAFA KAGAME CUP 2019.
Rayon started the match dominating the Congolese, it was not surprising that on the 4th minute, Rayon already had broken Mazembe’s deadlock. Jean Claude Iranzi dribbled the ball, with his left foot, from midway of the field, as he reached Mazembe’s defenders he challenged them and offered a perfect pass, with his right foot, to Jules Ulimwengu who stormed a stinging shot to break deadlock very early in a half-time of the match.

Olivier Ovambe, head
coach of Rayon, changed match tactics as he made a block in midway of the pitch
as he placed Amrani Nshimiyimana on holding midfield, Kakule Mugheni Fabrice and
Olokwei Commodore in front of him while he sent Hussein Cyiza to left-midfielders’
position.
Jean Claude Iranzi mounted in the field from right-wing
position, leaving behind Eric Irankunda Radou. Eric Rutanga Alba, the captain,
was on the left-wing position. Jules Ulimwengu was put on forward-striker’s
position while Herve Rugwiro and Saidi Iragire played as backward defenders but
Yves Kimenyi played as goalkeeper.
Rayon Sports dominated
half-time of the match since TP Mazembe could not glance the goal of the Rwanda’s
Rayon.
The second half-time was different since TP Mazembe
changed game tactic; refocusing their chance and tried to penetrate into Rayon’s
chain, playing on both sides of the field but Rayon’s players latched them on thoroughly.
