Priyanka Chopra pays tribute to her late father through her instagram post

Last year, the Quantico actress married Nick Jonas in two weddings. Priyanka's mother walked her down the aisle for the Western ceremony that celebrated Jonas' Christian upbringing.

Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram Sunday with a sweet throwback photo of herself and her father.

In the adorable picture, young Priyanka sits in a tree and smiles at the camera as her dad stands close by, holding onto the branches.

The post was in tribute to her father Ashok Chopra, who died six years ago of cancer. The actress has opened up about how hard his death was for her.She wrote in the caption: 

'6 years. Seems like just yesterday we lost you... I miss you Dad. Inexplicably.'

In a video interview last year priyanka pointed out that her 'daddy's lil girl' tattoo on her right arm is in her father's handwriting.
