Distinguished Jamaican artist Garfield Spence well known on stage as Konshens twitted about possible concert in 11 African countries. he wrote: :How i'm gonna smile when we finally confirm these African dates. Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Gambia, Nigeria, South Africa, Malawi, Burundi. Etc etc etc who's missing?? Can’t wait". He didn’t mention much about who invited him to perform in Kigali, dates or even the exact day of the concert.

The last time Konshens was in Rwanda was 31st December 2015
in an annual party known as "Vibe Party" that was held in century park in Kigali. Apart from that, he also had another concert at Amahoro
Stadium/ Remera in East African Party 1st of January in 2016.
Konshens last had a concert in Rwanda in 2016.
