The goddess of comedy in Uganda, Anne Kansiime is headlining the East Africa’s Got talent show to be held in Kigali on 25 May 2019.
Anne has been a comedy star in the region of East Africa, she is expected to be a master of ceremony in the concert that was showcased in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and it is coming to Rwanda, for this time, to detect new talents.
East Africa Got
talent is a contest that aims to dig out hidden talents from various kind of
people that include music, comedy, magic just to name a few. This contest has
been popular and loved by people who believe in talents.
The luck winner
of the contest is expected to be announced on 6th October 2019 and
walk way home with an award worth $50 thousand. The contest will be performed live and
judging panel will sit around table to mark points.
The most talented
people in the contest are slated to vie for the final around due in Kenya, where
120 contestants sifted from the four countries will compete to pick one who is
the best of all. Rwanda is going to host this contest following Uganda and
Kenya. The show is slated to kick off by 25 May 2019, at Maison de jeunes
Kimisagara, where attendance is free of charge for everyone.
The director of East
Africa Got talent, Lee Ndayisaba told Inyarwanda.com that Anne Kansiime is
coming to Kigali this Thursday, 23rd May, adding that every country
has to have four representatives in the contest.
The comedian, Anne
Kansiime is currently working as a news anchor on a private television that
belongs to Got Talent. The television is working closely with Rwanda
television, Citizen Television based in Kenya, Clouds Television based in
Tanzania and NBS Television from Uganda.
The South African based television, Rapid Blue, is expected to air the live show.
