Artists Sintex, Charly and Nina along with Weasel from Uganda were invited to perform in a comedy festival known as ‘Seka Fest’. The festival is scheduled from 24th up to 31st March and it will have famous comedians from Africa.
Ugandan Weasel from former Googlyfe Group is expected to perform in 'Seka Fest'. His real name is Douglas Mayanja, his music is based on Reggae, Ragga and Dancehall. He was astonished when his group companion Moses Radio [Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo] passed away in February 2018. While still together, they did good music which a lot of people enjoyed all over like: "Nakudata" which was released in 2008, "lwaki Onumya", "Zuena", "Nyambura" "Bread and Butter" among others.
Charlotte Rulinda and Fatuma Muhoza made a girl group, Charly & Nina. Some of their songs are ‘I do’ featuring Bebe Cool, ‘Komeza Unyirebere’, ‘Uburyohe’, ‘Try Me’ , ‘Face to Face’ , ‘ Owooma’ among others
The artist Kabera Arnold (Sintex) and Arthur Nkusi's brother is currently working on African music and Dancehall. For a short time, he has been in this industry he managed to release different songs like: ‘You’, ‘Why’, ‘Icyoroshye‘, ‘Byina’, ‘Super Star’ and many others.
Arthur Nkusi, the boss of Arthur Nation in charge of 'Seka Fest' comedy festival, confirmed to INYARWANDA that Charly & Nina and Sintex are going to sing in this festival on 30th March 2019. He also said that they are still talking to another artist who they wish could conclude this festival on 31st march 2019.
Via sintex and Charly& Nina Instagram accounts, they confirmed their performance in the upcoming comedy festival which will be at Gikondo Expo Ground.
On 24th March 2019 will be Michael Sengazi’s performance called ‘ one man show’, on 25th to 29 March 2019, performances will take place in public transport buses in Kigali city. On 30th March 2019,teacher Mpampire, Madrat & Chiko, Eddie Butita, Jaja Bruce, Akite will perform and the ceremony will be hosted by Alex Muhangi.
On 31st march 2019, a major event will be held and performers will be Basket Mouth, Eric Omondi, Patrick Salvado and Seka rising stars. The event will be hosted by Arthur Nkusi , entry fee will be 5,000 frw and the Entery fee in Comedy Store is 5,000 Frw regular and 10,000 Frw in honorable positions (VIP).
The final event will be on 31st March where Nigerian comedian Basket Mouth will again perform. Entry fee is 10,000 Frw in regular seats, 20,000 Frw in VIP seats. For an individual who wants to attend the entire festival, the fee in regular seats is 15,000 Rwf and in VIP places, 30,000 Rwf.
