The much known cycling tournament known as Tour du Rwanda is back, on 24th February 2019 up to 3rd March 2019. Ndayisenga Valens will be head team Rwanda together with Mugisha Moise, Hakiruwizeye Samuel, Uwizeye Jean Claude na Ruberwa Jean Damascene.
Though Valens will be leading others in this year Rwanda cycling tournament,
he is not optimistic about winning Tour du Rwanda but he promises Rwandans to
win at 85%. "teams which will be in Rwanda are great, it is the first time
for Rwanda to host pro continental teams but we as a Rwandan team, we have hope
because we took long preparing ourselves to succeed, we don't prepare ourselves
to fail. But because of the level of this year tournament, i can't promise 100%
success as I used to, but I can give myself 85% of success"
Tour du Rwanda of this year 2019 will be at 2.1 level, the level which is
unusual to Rwandan cyclist but they don't take it as frightening because some
of them played 1.1 tournament. For Valens, what he think is necessary it to
work hard and calculate so much in order to compete with other great cyclist.
Team Rwanda 2018 that won the competition
Valens says "we will compete as usual. Because there is a world tour
team and 4 pro continental team, the tournament has changed already because players
of tour du France will be here. If a player of tour de France is competing with
Rwandan cyclist like Mugisha Moise and Hakiruwizeye, I don't think he can ride
as fast as Melahwi Kudus .but it can’t make us loose strength because by being
wise you can win Kudus”
This year Rwanda will have 12 players who will start the tournment. 5
players of team Rwanda 2019, 5 of benediction excel energy (BEX) and Mugisha
Samuel of dimension data Qhubeka and Areruya Joseph of Delko Marseille Provence
KTM (France ).
