US based Rwandan R'n'B artist, Benjamin Mugisha popularly known by his stage name The Ben nabbed a nomination in the African Entertainment Awards 2016.
‘Ntacyadutanya’ The Ben’s 4 month old Music Video featuring Priscillah nabbed a nomination in the ‘Best Video of the Year’ along other 5 African artist videos. The Ben is nominated along Eddy Kenzo’s Maria from Uganda, Joh Makini ft AKA’s Don’t Bother, Diamond Platnumz’s Utanipenda, MC Galaxy’s Hello and Ommy Dimpoz’s Achia Body.

Talking about his nomination, The Ben told Inyarwanda.com that “this is priceless and it’s a good sign that the Rwandan music is being appreciated by many.”
The Ben is not a new face for The African Entertainment Awards as last year during the inaugural awards; he earned his first nomination and won an Honorary Award "Tamin Award of Honor" for his hope-and-peace alarming song ‘I Can See’.
This year, the awards ceremony will take place on October 22, 2016 in New York. Voting is open now, and you can vote for The Ben through www.aeausa.net.
A few days ago, The Ben released his new song “HABIBI” which he says it’s a dedication to the couples in love.
