This annual event took place back on this 17th August, and it was entitled 'Rwanda shima Imana'thanksgiving. With the main Guest Rick Warren, various high figures were present.

A lot happened that day, from the praising to the praying. As expected people had good moments of praise but there were a whole lot of unexpected and surprising things that have been remarkable that very day.

The first thing is that the one we called guest above “Pastor Rick Warren” doesn’t want to be called a stranger anymore.

In fact Pastor Rick Warren revealed that he presently has a Rwandan nationality hence his wish was to be considered as any Rwandan whenever he is in Rwanda.

Even ADEPR choirs and representatives were present in a considerable number, which is unusual.

In such kind of evangelisation, where Christian churches work together, ADEPR church is not used to attend since it often stated that others were foreigners so no gathering with them was allowed, which seemed different this time since ADEPR famous singers like GABI Kamanzi  and Dominic Nick attended and performed well that day.

The gospel singer, Dominic Nik, helped many to worhip

They were a massive population, which seemed to be the result of efforts invested in media.

Considering former events like this, this one was very different since there were a cloud of people present, and those whom we have been able to reach told us that they got informed via different media.

Pastors and religious leaders accepted to bow and ask for forgiveness for their failure to prevent the danger of 1994 genocide.

It is after 20 years that finally, religious leaders gathered themselves to mention that they feel guilty, for they didn’t attempt anything to stop the 1994 genocide against Tutsi, this happens to be a big step toward unity and reconciliation.

Local church leaders

There were a lot of government officials on that very day.

We noticed that even though it was a religious affair, government representatives were present in a considerable number and were ready to be preached and receive the good news. And they even took a chance to say that they will continue working with churches through the unity and reconciliation commission.

A horn user astonished a lot of people

Someone, undoubtedly a musician was using an ivory horn to sweeten the rhythm and the melody of the singers. This was pleasant for everyone.

Even Muslims attended, contrary to the SDA (seven day Adventist church)

Surprisingly, there were Muslims who attended but most surprisingly also, the SDA didn’t show any interest in working with other Christian based churches.

Finally, The organisation was impeccable .

Technology facilitated the preaching
