Meet Biramahire the best promising striker

Abeddy Biramahire is a Rwandan footballer who currently plays for Police FC and Rwanda National teams as a striker since 2014 when he was in U17.

He received the  best promising player of the of the season 2016-2017  by scoring seven goals in 11 league matches and his club of Police FC finished second on the league table behind Rayon Sports (Champions).

In his junior career, Biramahire 19 spent four years (2005-2009) in Dream Team Football Academy before joining Bugesera district sponsored club where he take a season and half (2011-2014) in the second division.

In the season 2014-2015, Biramahire was in Bugesera FC’ squad ahead of first division before lefting toward the Second Divion side, Interforce FC.

After shining in second division by scoring 25 goals, Police FC’ technical agents have been attracted by the performance and finally he signed a 2-year deal contract.

In his first spell in Police FC, he didn’t get more chances to play as the first option of Seninga Innocent who had Danny Usengimana as top striker in the league. But, Biramahire continued to push forward.

“In my first year with Police FC, it was so hard to get a place in first eleven because I was in my acclimatizing state with the group. My coach (Seninga) helped me a lot to get some chances to play from the bench. I tried my best to get goals and in God’s power I scored goals to convince that I can do something for the team”. Biramahire said

International Career:

Biramahire started his international career in the season 2014-2015 where he was in U17 Rwanda National Team where he got two caps before being promoted to U20 in the following seasons (2015-2017) where he got eight (8) selections made by Baptiste Kayiranga. It was in their road to Zambia for U20 Africa Cup of Nations. Rwanda U20 have been eliminated by Egypt on penalty shoot-out in the third round.

Biramahire got the chance to be in Rwanda Senior National Team (Amavubi) squad for  the road to CHAN 2018 via Antoine Hey John Paul calls.  For this year before his departure to CHAN 2018, Biramahire is with nine matches and three goals and assisted two times. In U17 spell, he scored once in two matches plus four assists while in U20 he netted and assisted five times in six matches.
