Tuyisenge becomes the second hero as Kagere shines in Gor Mahia

The responsibility to lead goal getting duties in the Kenyan Premier league has always been a challenging task and at same time rewarding for some when the season ends.

Rwandese hit man is currently at 9, a figure which he should have passed long had he not missed a penalty in Gor Mahia last previous game against Sofapaka.

With up to ten players stand a realistic chance to clinch the 2017 golden boot, according to Futaa that looks at the different scoring dynamics in the current season as far as the lead scorers from last season games.

Its however a matter of time before Gor Mahia's Jacques Tuyisenge becomes the second to attain the feat.

Nakumatt's Kepha Aswani- now at 11- is the only player who has managed double digits from last season.

The Ex Thika and Leopards man haul of 11 last season saw him the third best scorer after John Makwata(15) and Wycliffe Ochomo (12).

Most improved 

Stephen Waruru(11 goal) and Meddie Kagere (10 goals)are the most improved player as far as scoring goes. The pair who only featured in the second leg of mid season, make up the rare group of  four players with double digits in the current run.

 Other in improved lot are Thika's  Mwinyi Shami, club's lead scorer with 5 and Dennis Mukaisi who now ranked at with six.

Zoo's dynamic duo

 Zoo dynamic duo of Nicholas Kipkurui and Mike Madoya are also  having managed seven goals in only their debut season in the KPL

Wycliffe Ochomo and Whyvonne Isuza are among the from the last season where they managed 12 and 8 goals respectively. The duo have failed to replicate their at firing form of last season at their respective new clubs with Isuza only one league goals against Thika while the 2016 runners up has three for Homeboyz.

With three goal each, Noah Abich, Rodgers Aloro, Pascal Ogweno and Christopher Oruchum are the leading top scoring defenders in the 2017 campaign.
