Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku was the hero for his country on Sunday night, September 3, as Belgium defeated Greece 2-1 to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Lukaku who has been in sparkling form this season for Manchester United scored the winner for Belgium in the 74th minutes after being set up by Kevin de Bruyne. The hosts Greece started the match impressive knowing fully well that a win would also boost their chances of qualifying for the 2018 soccer showpiece.

But Belgium opened the scoring in the 70th minutes through Jan Vertonghen, and it took the hosts just three minutes to restore parity when Zeca netted the equalizing goal for Greece.
Greece were anxiously looking for the winner, but they were made to pay for their profligacy as Romelu Lukaku scored at the death to give Belgium the deserved victory.
