The event that will start from 7th may and call its quit by the 9th aims to enhance ICT chamber’s initiative called “Start-up 250” to create an appropriate and effective mechanism to foster technology start-ups with an initial result of creating at least 250 technology start-ups.
Meanwhile, Japan International Cooperation Agency,JICA’s Senior Vice President, Mr. Hiroshi Kato, will be at “Digital Health Hub: Innovation for Digital Health – Biotech, Drones, IoT, Mobile, Big data, AI partnering with International Telecommunication Union and World Health Organization.
JICA has been one of the key stakeholders in ICT sector in Rwanda. These opportunities at TAS will show specific information detailing JICA’s support to the growth and development of the ICT sector in Rwanda including the ICT innovation ecosystem strengthening project that started last year and will run for three years. The project aims to ensure that ICT innovation ecosystem in Rwanda is systematically enhanced to supplement the realisation of Smart Rwanda Master Plan.
JICA looks to share these milestones with the public the stakeholders and masters of industry in preparation for the grand technology event that has become a continental signature of excellence in forging a direction for a smart continent that can measure up to the global technology standards.
Under the theme “Accelerating Africa’s Single Digital Market”, over 4,000 participants, including Heads of State, First ladies, Ministers, high level Government delegates, UN Broadband Commissioners, International Organisations, industry leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, young innovators, Civil Societies and Academia will attend the event.
