Rwanda: Catholic Church loses important Person

His highness Monsignor John Damascene Bimenyimana died yesterday, Sunday after having been battling with blood cancer for one month.

His highness hospitalized at the Kenyan Hospital whither reported that his life was between the death and life.  According to the Cyangugu Diocese website, the late was born on 22nd June 1953 in Bumanzi region, Shangi Diocese.

He was on 6th July 1980 ordained at Nyundo and later on 18th January 1997 appointed to shepherd Cyangugu Diocese whither he was on 16th March in the same year offered episcopal responsibility at Cyangugu.   His holiness Pope named John Paul II named the Monsignor on his 44 age after serving 20 years and 9 months as episcopal agent.
